How We Find These Businesses
Every entry starts as a raw Google Maps listing — business name, phone, address, and website URL (or the absence of one). We pull fresh data monthly using the Google Places API across 200+ metro areas per country.
From there, each listing runs through four automated checks: HTTP request to verify the domain resolves, SSL certificate lookup via certificate transparency logs, Google PageSpeed API for Core Web Vitals, and a mobile-friendliness check via Google's Testing Tool API. Businesses that fail one or more checks are tagged with the relevant defect and added to the corresponding list.
No manual curation — the defect rate percentages on this page reflect what the automated checks actually found across 4.2M+ listings, not estimates.
How to Use These Lists
- 01
Pick a defect type
Start with "no website" if you build sites. Start with "missing SSL" or "slow sites" if you sell performance fixes. Critical defects convert faster — the business owner already feels the pain.
- 02
Pick your niche
High defect rate = more volume. High average project value = plumbers, dentists, lawyers. Pick based on what your agency can actually deliver.
- 03
Filter by geography
Download the list for your target city. Each row has name, phone, address, and the specific defect detected — you already know their problem before the first call.
- 04
Pitch with proof
Show them a screenshot of their Google Maps listing next to a competitor who has a website. That's the entire pitch.
